Supplemental Educational Services (SES) are academic tutoring opportunities outside of regular school day instruction. Parents can choose the tutoring provider, subjects, and location of services from the enrollment options. These services, offered at no cost to the parent, are of high quaility and are specifically designed to increase student academic achievement.
Any Title I campus in Stages 2-5 of mandated School Improvement must offer SES to all students from low-income families.
If the number of students requesting SES exceeds the amount of money a district has available for SES, the district will give priority to the lowest-achieving students by establishing fair and equitable identifying criteria.
- SES enrollment for school year 2012-13 opens on October 15th and will remain open throughout the school year.
- Eligible school for school year 2012-13 is Morningside Elementary.
- Parents of eligible students who wish to enroll their child in SES must choose a tutoring provider from the list of approved providers.
